NIT-Warangal Cult Fest

NIT – WARANGAL presents Spring Spree! It is NIT-Warangal’s annual cultural festival, that brings life and colour to the supposedly boring life of an engineer. This year, we present the 26th edition of this spectacular fest, with a special theme – Roobaroo India!

A wide variety of events and competitions are conducted. For instance, the Literary and Debating Club conducted events like Just A Minute (JAM) (an opportunity to speak your mind for a minute), debates in English, Hindi and Telugu, sports article writing contest (a chance to win an internship of Rs. 8000), Poetry contests and Antakshari in Telugu.

Apart from the traditional dance contests (solo,pair, classical, group), the Dance and Dramatics club held innovative contests like skit contests and Action Replay (a chance to show off your filmy side and alter the famous dialogues of your favourite movies) for the drama lovers.

People with an ear for music can show what they’ve got in events like Cappricio (the official western music instrumental competition and the classical instrumental music contest) and Idol (a great platform to show off your skills in vocal music.), organised by the Music Club.

Sand sculpting, Rush Hour, Rangoli making contest and Face Painting contests are events being conducted by the Painting Club, with an aim to bring out the budding artist in you. For the near professional artists, their talent in painting.drawing and sketching can be showcased Chitra, national level art exhibition.

Quiz Club conducted various quizzes covering a wide range of topics, from sports to literature and business to entertainment. A Roobaroo India speciality was also be held where you knowledge about India were be put to test. So watch out, all Derek O’ Briens!

If you want to just let your hair down and have some fun, then the Informals stage is where you should be. Stand-up comedy and various games were making sure that your experience in Spring Spree is an enjoyable one.
