Naidu’s padayatra to cover only rural areas in Warangal

Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu’s ‘Vastunna Mee Kosam’, which is expected to begin in Warangal district on December 25, will cover rural areas only.

The padayatra will not touch urban areas. It will enter the district at Veldampalli in Bhupalpalli mandal and leave Kommulavancha vllage in Narasimhulupeta mandal before covering other mandals for nearly eight days.

The party sources said Mr. Naidu is expected to walk about 120 kilometres in the district as part of the yatra, covering eight assembly constituencies for over a week.

The district unit is yet to release the final schedule, route map and other details.

A coordination committee involving TDP district unit president A. Baswa Reddy, general secretary E. Mallesham, senior leaders Kadiam Srihari, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and MLAs Seetakka and Satyvathi Rathod was set up to finalise the itinerary of Mr. Naidu’s padayatra.

Mr. Baswa Reddy, Mr. Mallesham and others visited the proposed route on Sunday and closeted with party leaders in their respective mandals.

Mr. Naidu’s security personnel are expected to visit the district on December 12 to assess the situation and oversee the arrangements for the padayatra and street corner meetings amongst other things.
