Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will inaugurate the Kakatiya Festival at Warangal on December 21. Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat after releasing the poster of Kakatiya Festival here today, Tourism Minister Vatti Vasant Kumar said the festival would be held from December 21 to 23.
He said the festival would highlight the golden era of Kakatiya Dynasty and its contribution to Telugu culture.
While the inaugural ceremony will be held at Warangal, the celebrations will be held at Kotagallu Ramappa Temple and Veyyikalla Mandapam. Union Minister for Tourism K Chiranjeevi and Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah will also participate in the festival.
Several cultural programmes will also be organised during the three-day festival highlighting the greatness of Kakatiya rulers.
The Tourism Department will operate special buses from Hyderabad to Warangal and a package will also be offered to the local tourists during the festival. Ministers Ponnala Lakshmaiah and B Saraiah and Tourism Secretary Chandana Khan were also present in the press conference.
